Speed Sleeve™ - Rapid Sleeving Install Tool
Applying Flexo® braided sleeving by hand to wires and cables can be a time-consuming process, especially in your production environment. The Techflex® Speed Sleeve™ can improve the process for repetitive jobs and long runs. The easy-to-use tool is designed to accelerate the process. The practical Speed Sleeve™ base unit can accommodate any tube length and mount to a workbench, miter stand, or similar surface. Speed Sleeve™ fits sleeving directly to harnesses for a neat, snug, and efficient application. You can customize the tubes and layout to best suit your job. Your production team will save precious time and your wiring will be protected for a lifetime.

- Your Wire Harness
- Speed Sleeve™ Rapid Install Kit of choice
- Tube (if not included in your chosen kit)
- Appropriate Flexo® Braided Sleeving for the application
- Workbench, Sawhorse, or miter stand to place Speed Sleeve®
- Allen Wrench in the appropriate sizes for bolts needed for the flange and pulley
- The Speed Sleeve™ Rapid Install Kit includes grade A steel square head screws that are ½”- 13 thread size, 3” long, and ½” – 13 X 1” fully threaded hex cap screws grade 5 coarse med. carbon plain.
Step Two: Setting Up The Speed Sleeve™ Installer
- Secure Speed Sleeve™ to a flat surface, whether a workbench, sawhorse, or miter stand.
- Place the base unit with green pulleys on one end of workbench, sawhorse, or miter stand.
- Place the tool’s flange end on the opposite side of the green pulley portion of the tool, with each piece parallel to one another.
- Clamp one side of the tube between the green pulleys and insert the other into the unit’s flange side.
Step Three: Feeding Sleeving Onto The Speed Sleeve™
- Push the sleeving onto the tube, with the sleeving feeding itself as it is pushed.
- Bunch sleeving onto tube accordion style until entire tube is filled.
- Once entire length of sleeving needed is fed onto the tube, tighten the green rollers on the pulley portion of the tube to lock sleeving into place.
- Ensure sleeving has some movement to facilitate steps with transferring it onto wire harness.
Step Four: Installing The Sleeving Onto Your Wiring
- Push the sleeving onto the tube, with the sleeving feeding itself as it is pushed.
- Bunch sleeving onto tube accordion style until entire tube is filled.
- Once entire length of sleeving needed is fed onto the tube, tighten the green rollers on the pulley portion of the tube to lock sleeving into place.
- Ensure sleeving has some movement to facilitate steps with transferring it onto wire harness.
