Pressmaster Crimpers

Pressmaster is deeply rooted in the heartland of Sweden – a country with a strong tradition of manufacturing some of the world’s best hand tools. The people of the region of Älvdalen have a long history of adapting to their environment by creating clever solutions. Pressmaster develops precision hand tools for markets where performance and reliability are vital. They work with tight tolerances and the highest quality all the way from CAD design through to manufacturing and assembly. The manufacturing process is regularly controlled by optical measuring equipment and supervised by highly skilled personnel. Pressmaster tools have extremely long life spans.

Professional Crimping Tools

The process of crimping involves a connector and a wire being deformed in a way that makes them hold together. While there are many options for crimping available, the Pressmaster family of crimp tools provides a tight and solid crimp that allows cables and connectors to be held together while not damaging the functionality of either. In addition, they require much less time, manual strength, and expertise than other competing crimp tools in order to operate. The precision dies and crimp profiles allow you to consistently obtain the same crimps repetitively, without a loss in quality or risk of damage to cables.

How To Crimp

The process of crimping a cable and appropriate connector together is easy and quick when using Pressmaster Crimp tools. First, insert the desired cable into an appropriate connector. Next, insert both into the crimp tool. Grasp the open handles of the crimp tool firmly and press down completely. There is no need to worry about over crimping as long as you are using the correct crimp tool. Lastly, once the tool's handles are closed completely, the latch on the crimp tool will release, automatically opening the handles and the crimp end. If the crimp tool ever seems to be stuck, make sure you are pressing together and closing the tool completely. This ensures a consistent and correct crimp every time.

How To Change Dies

Changing dies with the Mobile Tool Frame is quick and easy. Simply slide the latch on the top of the crimp tool jaw with your thumb, and grasp the current die while pulling it straight up. To insert the new die, push the desired die straight down into the die well, and the latch will clasp shut automatically. Inserting and removing the dies from the mobile cases is similar, requiring only to be pulled up or pushed in at a straight angle.

Mobile Service Tool Frame

The Mobile Tool Frame is specially designed with the service technician and versatile repairman in mind. The frame is lightweight yet durable, helping increase mobility. In addition, the frame features easily changeable dies, allowing for a large selection of various crimping options. The dies are quickly removed and replaced, with a simple latch release and die storage containers. This set up and design allows one to replace a large collection of crimp tool with simply the mobile frame and the dies that they require.

Modular Plug Connectors

Modular plugs, also called modular jacks, RJ connectors, and western jacks, are wire connectors that contain a row of inset pins, each that lead to a different wire in the crimped cable. The different types of modular plug connectors varies depending on the number of pins and position of pins required. These plugs are used in telephone lines, computer network cables, ethernet jacks, modular handsets, and various digital data ports. For crimping, the order of the wires is important and changes depending on the desired application. Once the color coded wires are on the correct pins, the entire assembly is inserted into the crimper and closed to create a tight construction..
